Matthias Rößler

Erich Matthias Roessler ( born January 14, 1955 in Dresden ) is a German politician ( CDU). He is since 1990 a member of the Saxon State Parliament and was from 1994 to 2004 first as a cult and later as a science and art Minister Member of the Saxon government. Since 2009 he has been President of the Saxon Landtag.

Life

The son of a self-employed gardener master from Cossebaude attended school in his native village. Policy

Roessler joined in 1989 the opposition movement in Democratic Awakening. He took over functions in the central party leadership in Berlin and was a science policy spokesman of the party. At the same time he was a member of the State Executive Committee of Saxony, whom he represented at the Round Table of the Dresden District.
