Matti Kärki

Matti Kärki is a Swedish metal vocalist and was also a member of the bands Dismember, Carnage and Carbonized.

Biography

Kärki played the end of the 1980s, bass and vocals for the band General Surgery. He also joined the band Carbonized, Carnage and briefly also Therion as a singer. Larger fame he achieved as a member of the band Dismember, where he remained from 1990 until they disbanded in 2011 and with whom he recorded eight studio albums as a singer and writer of the lyrics in this period. He was also a singer in the band Murder Squad.

As a guest singer, he contributed to publications of the bands Adversary, At the Gates, Desultory and his former band General Surgery. He also supported the band Grave with lyrics on the albums Dominion VIII and Burial Ground.

The Growling Kärkis is of reviewers partly as " barking, gurgling and screaming " ( [ he] " barks, gurgles, and roars " ), sometimes jokingly referred to as " haunting Cookie Monster vocals " means ( " insistent Cookie Monster vocals ").
