Max van Heeswijk

Max van Heeswijk ( born March 2, 1973 in Hoensbroek ) is a former Dutch cyclist.

Van Heeswijk began his professional career in 1995 with the Motorola team. He developed into a specialist in sprints.

In the 2004 season, Van Heeswijk won the Belgian one-day race Nokere Koerse. In the Vuelta a España, he took over thanks to a time bonus in the second stage the golden jersey of the leader. Already in the third stage, he had to give it to his teammate Benoît Joachim. In 2005, he won two stages in the Eneco Tour and the new one at the Vuelta a España. In 2007 he moves to the Dutch Rabobank team and ended the following year at Willems Veranda his active career.
