Maxim Solovyov

Maxim Jurjewitsch Solovyov (born 20 February 1979 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with the OHK Dynamo in the Kontinental Hockey League since 2010.

Career

Maxim Soloviev began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK CSKA Moscow, for its professional team, he made his debut in the Super League in the 1997/98 season. Then the defender played one year each for Krylia Sovetov Moscow long in the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, and Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the Super League. From 2001 to 2004 he was the second division club Vityaz Chekhov under contract, where he finished the season 2002/ 03 in the white Russian club HK Khimvolokno Mogilev in the East European Hockey League.

From 2004 to 2007 Solovyov ran for the HK MVD Tver, which he ascended into the Super League in the season 2004/ 05 right off the bat as second division champions. Following the 2006/07 season the team was relocated to Balaschicha and former junior national team stayed in the club for which he took part in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established starting from the season 2008/ 09. In the following season he failed with his team until the playoff final for the Gagarin Cup at Ak Bars Kazan. Then the HK MVD Balaschicha was merged with the HK Dynamo Moscow and the Russian received for the 2010/11 season a contract with their successor team OHK Dynamo.

Internationally

For Russia, Solovyov took part in the European Junior Championships in 1997. Here, in six games, he scored a goal and an assist each.
