Máximo Cortés

Máximo Cortés ( born April 13, 1988 in Móstoles ) is a Spanish racing driver.

Career

Cortés began his motorsport career in karting in 1997 and remained active until 2004 in this sport. In 2005 he moved to Formula racing and was vice-champion of the Spanish Formula Junior. In 2006, he joined TEC car in the Spanish Formula 3 Championship. While his team-mate Ricardo Risatti won the league title, the Spaniard was with two wins third in the championship. In 2007 he stayed with TEC car in the Spanish Formula 3 He won six races and decided the championship ahead of his teammate Marco Barba for themselves.

2008 Cortés moved to Pons Racing in the World Series by Renault. Already after four race weekends, he was replaced due to financial problems by Aleix Alcaraz. At the end of the season, he finished 26th overall. He then appeared as a guest starter at on a race weekend of the Spanish Formula 3 and came at a run first to the finish. 2009 Cortés was no cockpit in Formula racing and moved to Hache team in the Le Mans Series. With the unreliable Lucchini LMP2/04 but he made it in any race in the standings and he could not score points.

2010 Cortés was initially without cockpit. He took part in a race weekend of the Superleague Formula for assisted by DRIVEX team of Sporting Lisbon in September.
