Melissa Tancredi

Melissa Tancredi (* December 27, 1981 in Hamilton, Canada ) is a Canadian soccer player. She has been playing the 2014 season with the Chicago Red Stars NWSL participants. Tancredi is the daughter of an Italian and a Canadian.

Career

Her first senior international she made on 26 February 2004 in a 6-0 against Jamaica. With the Canadian national soccer team in it so far (May 2011 ) recorded 60 missions, she was disqualified at the World Cup 2007 third in the first round. Here she managed a hit in the game against Australia. At the 2008 Summer Olympics she came with her team to the quarter- finals. There they lost in extra time 2-1 to eventual tournament winner United States. The biggest success was winning the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup in 2010. She was appointed to the Canadian squad for the World Cup and was used in the opening match against Germany. Also in the other two group matches they came into use, but resigned after three defeats Canada in the preliminary round of.

For the 2012 Olympics, she was also nominated. She came in all six games for use and scoring four goals.
