Mercedes Echerer

Raina Echerer ( born May 16, 1963 in Linz) is an Austrian stage and film actress, presenter of radio and TV shows, and politician.

Life

Mercedes Echerer is ( German and Hungarian) grew up bilingual. She graduated in 1981 at the BORG Linz and made after an education in drama, dance and singing at the Linz State Theatre. From 1999 to 2004 she was a member of the European Parliament for the Greens, but without being a party member. She was in various European Parliament committees, including Legal Affairs, Culture, Youth, Education, Media and Sport, and budget. In addition, she was a pioneer in terms of software patent and copyright issues.

From 1991 to 1996, she chaired the Arts and gala of the Prix Ars Electronica in the ORF. She had engagements among other things on:
