The Office Meyenburg is a 1992 formed Office in Brandenburg, in the first six municipalities in the former county Pritzwalk (now Prignitz, Brandenburg ) were combined into an administrative group. As part of the resolution of the Local injection Walk- country office Meyenburg were assigned to other communities. On the other hand, the number of municipalities was reduced by municipal mergers and incorporations, so that the Office Meyenburg currently has five official belonging to communities.

Geographical location

The Am Meyenburg is located in the north of the county Prignitz (Brandenburg, Germany ). It is bordered to the west by the Office Putlitzstrasse Mountains, in the northwest undNorden in the state of Mecklenburg -Western Pomerania, on the east by the town of Wittstock / Dosse and the municipality of the Holy Sepulchre and in the south on the town injection Walk.

Outline of the Office

The Office Meyenburg is currently divided into five municipalities:

  • Gerdshagen with the districts Giese Hagen, Rapshagen and Struck
  • Halen -Rohlsdorf with the districts Halen Beck, Bruges, warning village, Rohlsdorf and Ellers Hagen
  • Kümmernitztal with the districts Buckow, Grabow, Preddöhl and rocks Hagen
  • Marienfließ with the districts Krempendorf, Frehne, Jännersdorf, Kuwalk, New Redlin and Stepenitz
  • Meyenburg ( City) with the hamlets of Mountain target, Buddenhagen, handle Hagen, practical jokes, Schmolde, Penzlin and Penzlin South

History

The Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg issued the formation of the Office Meyenburg on 26 August 1992, his consent. The date for the conclusion of the Office August 28, 1992 has been set. The agreement was initially limited to 28 August 1994. The restriction was lifted by the Home Office with effect from 11 July 1994. For the official residence of the city Meyenburg was determined. At the time of formation of the Office the following communities from the former county Pritzwalk were assigned

The community Schmolde was incorporated on 31 December 2001 in the city Meyenburg. Also on 31 December 2001, the municipalities Frehne, Jännersdorf, Krempendorf and Stepenitz merged to form the new municipality Marienfließ.

As part of the resolution of the Office Walk- injection land December 31, 2002, the municipalities Gerdshagen Halen -Rohlsdorf and Kümmernitztal have been July 1, 2002 attached to the Office Meyenburg.

Demographics

The Office had in 1992 when it was made or 3938 inhabitants. The population dropped to 2001 continuously to 3679 inhabitants. The takeover of the municipalities Gerdshagen, Halenbek - Rohlsdorf and Kummernitztal from the dissolved Official injection Walk- country and the population rose again to 5373 inhabitants in 2002. Subsequently, the population continued to decline and fell in 2006 to less than 5000 inhabitants (limit for a Office under the Office of Procedure of the state of Brandenburg ). Until 30 September 2012, the population had dropped to 4443.
