Michael Joseph Ready

Michael Joseph Ready ( born April 9, 1893 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA, † May 2, 1957 ) was Bishop of Columbus.

Life

Michael Joseph Ready received on 14 September 1918, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On November 11, 1944, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Bishop of Columbus. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Giovanni Cicognani Amleto, donated to him on 14 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Cincinnati, John Timothy McNicholas OP, and the Coadjutor Bishop of Cleveland, Edward Francis Hoban. The inauguration took place on January 4, 1945.
