Michael Liendl

Michael Liendl (born 25 October 1985 in Graz) is an Austrian football player at the position of midfielder. Since 2014 he plays in the German 2nd Bundesliga with Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Career

The midfielder began his career in his home in Vorarlberg Nenzing. From FC Thuringia, he moved in 2002 to the amateur team of the Grazer AK. There he came in 2003 and his first brief appearances in the league.

The final change to the professional was for the spring season of 2004. Liendl joined initially on loan to the then second-rate Kapfenberg SV, from which it was acquired fixed in the following summer. With Kapfenberg Liendl succeeded in the 2008 /09 season promotion to the Bundesliga, where he was instrumental with 18 goals and numerous templates share. After this season, he was chosen by the Association of footballer best player in the second league. His contract with the Upper Styrian ran until 2010, but Liendl preferred to have during the summer break before the 2009/10 season to change, which is why the contract was terminated.

With start of the season 2009/10 Liendl plays in the German capital at FK Austria Wien. There he posted this on his fourth deployment his first goal for the Viennese. After he came off the bench in the game against the LASK Linz in the 82nd minute for Milenko Ačimovič, he made 25 October 2009 even a birthday gift and scored just four minutes after coming off the bench to score 3-0 via direct free kick. After three years in Austria, he moved the beginning of 2012/13 season for the Bundesliga Up Wolfberger AC to Carinthia. On January 31, 2014 Fortuna Dusseldorf was the obligation of Liendl known with a contract until 30 June 2016.
