Michael Tolkin

Michael L. Tolkin ( born October 17, 1950 in New York City ) is an American author, screenwriter and film director.

Life

Michael Tolkin was born the son of Edith Leibovitch and the comedy writer Mel Tolkin. After 1974, he received his Bachelor af Arts at Middlebury College, he moved back to New York, where he worked as a journalist in 1979 with three screenplays in the television series Delta House first worked in the film after a few years. With Gleaming Heart - Rebels on skateboards first time in 1989 a screenplay he was filmed for a feature film. After the 1988 novel The player wrote that he was in 1992 with the film The Player, his biggest success, a nomination at the Academy Awards in 1983 for Best Screenplay Adapted celebrate.

Michael Tolkin is married to psychologist Wendy Mogel and is the brother of screenwriter Stephen Tolkin.
