Michel Crépeau

Michel Crépeau (* October 30, 1930 in Fontenay -le- Comte, Vendée, † 30 March 1999, Paris) was a French politician.

Life

Crépeau studied law. After his studies he worked as a lawyer. In 1972 he founded the Parti radical de gauche. From 1973 to 1999 he was a deputy in the National Assembly and also at that time mayor of La Rochelle. On May 22, 1981 to March 22, 1983 he was Minister of the Environment. Crépeau was in 1986 as the successor of Robert Badinter Minister of Justice of France. His successor was Albin Chalandon.
