Henri Nallet

Henri Nallet ( born January 6, 1939 in Bergerac, Dordogne ) is a French politician of the Socialist Party.

Career

Henri Nallet is the son of an optician. He studied at the Institut d' études politiques in Bordeaux Political Science and Public Law.

1966 to 1970 he was a functionary of the Fédération nationale des syndicats d' exploitants Ferme ( FNSEA ), a trade union federation for farmers. He then moved to the Institut national de la recherche agronomique, an agricultural testing and consulting institution. In 1973 he became assistant to Jean Charlot in the education and research department of political science ( Unité de formation et de recherche de science politique ) at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon- Sorbonne.

After the election of François Mitterrand as President Nallet was appointed to the role of adviser to Agriculture in the Cabinet, and thus became a member of Generalsekretäriats the government. In 1985 he broke with the government (Prime Minister) Laurent Fabius Michel Rocard as Minister of Agriculture from. This office he held between April 4 1985 to March 20, 1986, and again between June 28, 1988 and October 2, 1990 (under the Government Michel Rocard ). Immediately afterwards, he was succeeded Pierre Arpaillange under the government Michel Rocard (later Edith Cresson ) by April 2, 1992 Minister of Justice of France.

Henri Nallet took for the Socialist Party of France, the Yonne department from 1986 to 1988 and again between 1997 and 1999 in the National Assembly. He was mayor from 1989 to 1998 the Burgundian town of Tonnerre.

From 1992 to 1997, Nallet State ( Conseiller d' État ). In 1992, he was adviser to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In 1998, he was Vice President of the Party of European Socialists. Outside of his professional career, he supported the charitable organization Les Restos du Cœur in their construction.
