Michel Koch

Michel Koch (born 15 October 1991 in Wuppertal ) is a German track and road racing cyclist.

Radportlaufbahn

Since his early youth Michel Koch was a member of the RV sprint 08 Wuppertal. He finished 2007 with the German rail Youth Championships third place in the points race. In 2009 he won a stage in the junior class at the Cup of Grudziadz Town President, was German champion in the time trial and on the web in the team pursuit. In addition, he won the European Championship in ninth place in the road race at the World Championships and seventh place in the Individual Time Trial.

Between 2010 and 2012 drove cooking for the LKT Team Brandenburg. In his first year there, he came second in the road race and the time trial in the German Championship in the U23 class. In 2012 he was again German Champion in the Team Pursuit, this time in the elite class, together with Henning Bommel, Kersten Thiele and Yuriy Vasyliv. He also won the overall title of the U23 -wheel- Bundesliga.

For the 2013 season changed to the Italian chef UCI ProTeam Cannondale Pro Cycling. His first top - ten finishes in a World Tour race get him in the two individual time trial of the Tour de Suisse 2013.

Family

Michel Koch comes from a family keen on cycling. Both his grandfather as well as his parents were active as a cyclist. 1985 his mother Petra Stegherr was the Grande Boucle Féminine 14. Even his ten years younger sister Franziska has been active already as a cyclist.
