Michelle Burgher

Michelle Burgher ( born March 12, 1977 in Kingston) is a Jamaican sprinter who specializes in the 400 -meter run.

She won two Olympic medals with the Jamaican 4 x 400 meters relay. In silver medal win at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, she was no longer regularly used in the qualifying round. At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 she took together with Novlene Williams, Nadia Davy Sandie Richards and the bronze medal.

In addition, Burgher won in the relay silver medal at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo in 2003. Further international successes they collected at the Central American and Caribbean Championships as the winner in 2001 and second in 2003 in the 400 -meter run. In the CARIFTA Games in 1996 she won the 400 - meter hurdles and finished the 400m in second place.

Michelle Burgher has studied at George Mason University and Clemson University.
