Microstoria
Microstoria is the name of a German electronic music project. The duo consists of musicians January St. Werner ( Member of Mouse on Mars ) and Markus Popp (aka Oval). Their music can be attributed to the area Clicks & Cuts.
Project
Microstoria was founded in the mid-1990s by Werner and Popp. Their debut album was released in 1995 Init thing on the Frankfurt label Mille Plateaux. The album was later on the label Thrill Jockey and A- Music re-released.
The second album was released in 1996 snd also on Mille Plateaux. 1997 was followed by the remix album with remixes by Violent Onsen Reprovisers Geisha, Mouse On Mars, FX Randomiz, Stereolab, Jim O'Rourke and other artist friends.
The third studio album Model 3, Step 2 then appeared in 2000 on the independent label Thrill Jockey.
