Mille Plateaux
Mille Plateaux is a German electronica music label based in Frankfurt am Main.
The label is known for his often style-defining publications in the areas of minimal techno, Clickhop and other experimental electronic music. Mille Plateaux heard since March 2008 online sales Total Recall.
History
The label was founded in 1993 by Achim Szepanski as the successor of the same name sublabel of Force Inc. Music Works. From the sub-label Mille Plateaux turn ritornello (1999-2003), Plateaux Resistance (2005) and Supralinear (2005) emerged. The product was distributed via DMD and EFA media.
The term Mille Plateaux going to return the book A Thousand Plateaus (French Mille Plateaux ) of the philosopher Gilles Deleuze and the psychoanalyst Félix Guattari. The label concept -based, accordingly, on the idea of rhizomatic. This serves as a metaphor for a postmodern or poststructuralist model of knowledge organization and description of the world.

With the advent of glitch in the 2000 Mille Plateaux launched the titled according to the music genre Clicks & Cuts compilation series Clicks & Cuts, which contained both own and other artist labels.

After Rai Streubel bought the label in October 2004 and 2006, the Disco Inc. Ltd.. the new owners were, there were a few publications. Under the leadership of new owner and A & R Marcus Gabler Mille Plateaux to close the gap created after 2004 and continue the original work. On 7 May 2010 the label with three new albums became operational again.
