Miguel Ángel Angulo Valderrey ( born June 23, 1977 in Oviedo ), short- Angulo, is a former Spanish footballer.

The versatile offensive player was the majority of his career at Valencia under contract.

Club career

Angulo began his career in the youth team of Sporting Gijon, in his home town. His next club was the youth team of FC Valencia in 1995. About Valencia's B team then went to the 1996/97 season on loan to the then second division side Villarreal. He then played again at Valencia. He has not always been the undisputed master player, but scored some important goals and played more than 300 games for Valencia. In addition, he won the Spanish Cup twice (2002, 2004), the Spanish Cup (1999, 2008) and once in the UEFA Cup ( 2004).

For Angulo made ​​headlines during a Champions League match of the season 2004/ 05, when he was in the preliminary round in the decisive match against Werder Bremen spat in the direction of his opponent Tim Borowski after leaving.
