Mike Casselman
Mike Casselman ( born September 23, 1968 in Morrisburg, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who in his playing days from 1987 to 2004 among others for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League, as well as the EV Landshut, the Munich Barons, Hanover Scorpions and mosquitoes food has played in the DEL.
Career
Mike Casselman began his career as a hockey player in the team of Clarkson University, where he was active from 1987 to 1991. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Supplemental Draft in 1990 as a third player of the Detroit Red Wings, for which he, however, never playeth. Instead, he stood in the 1991/92 season for Toledo Storm in the East Coast Hockey League on the ice before it from 1992 to 1995 for Detroit's farm team in the American Hockey League, the Adirondack Red Wings, ran aground. On 32 October 1995, the attackers received a contract as a free agent with the Florida Panthers, for whom he made his debut in the National Hockey League in the 1995/96 season, where he remained point - and impunity in three games. The rest of the playtime spent the links Sagittarius at Florida's AHL farm team, the Carolina Monarchs.
On September 24, 1997 Casselman has been committed by the San Jose Sharks as a free agent after he had played in the previous year already for their farm team, the Cincinnati Cyclones of the International Hockey League. In the 1997/98 season Casselman stood both for the Cyclones in the IHL, as well as the Rochester Americans in the AHL on the ice. After the season the Canadians joined the EV Landshut in the DEL. After he sold his DEL license following the 1998/99 season, the winger the newly founded Munich Barons joined, with whom he 2000 German champion in the season 1999 /. For this success he added, with twelve points scorer as top scorer in the DEL playoffs. After winning the league title Casselman left the Munich and played ever a year for the Hannover Scorpions and the mosquitoes eat, where he left the latter because of their license withdrawal. His career ended with his former Club Cincinnati Cyclones, for in the ECHL, he stood until 2004 on the ice, in the Cincinnati to resolution of IHL started in 2001.
