Mike Dirnt
Mike Dirnt (as Michael Ryan Pritchard born May 4, 1972 in Berkeley, California) is the bassist for the American punk rock band Green Day.
Biography
Mike Dirnt came after his birth to an adoptive family because it gave away his heroin- addicted mother. He attended the same school as the later front man of Green Day, Billie Joe Armstrong. After his adoptive parents divorced, he lived in the age of 15 for a while with Armstrong, because this his best friend did not want to leave. Mike then worked as a cook at " Rudy's can not fail cafe", a diner in Emeryville. Billie Joe and Mike founded together with Al Sobrante ( John Kiffmeyer ) 1987, the band Sweet Children, which they renamed Green Day 1989.
After Pritchard Green Day joined, he also played in the bands The Frustrators, Screeching Weasel, Crummy Musicians and Squirtgun. He rarely occurred with the Frustrators in clubs and bars in the East Bay in California.
