Milena Govich

Milena Govich ( born October 29, 1976 in Norman, Oklahoma) is an American actress who is well known for her role as Nina Cassady in the television series Law & Order.

Life

Milena Govich grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, the daughter of two vocal professors Bruce and Marilyn Govich. She attended Norman High School and the University of Central Oklahoma, learned ballet, violin and vocals. After her college degree in 1999 Govich moved to New York and joined initially on Broadway, including the musicals Cabaret, The Boys from Syracuse and Good Vibrations.

Her debut before the camera was the actress in 2004 in the independent short film Bad Behavior. 2005 Govich got a supporting role in the television series Rescue Me, which she played until 2009 in 16 episodes. Also in 2005, she was seen in a guest role in the 16th season of the crime drama series Law & Order, the following year she received two main roles within the franchises. First, she played in the short-lived Law & Order spin-off - Convinction the prosecutor Jessica Rossi, half a year later starred in the 17th season of Law & Order, where she ran as an investigator Nina Cassady succeeds Dennis Farina. In June 2007, however, it was announced that her contract for the 18th season will not be extended.

Since then Govich was primarily seen in supporting roles, including in the series K -Ville, Psych, The Defenders and Make It or Break it.

The actress is married to the composer and playwright David Cornue since 2003.
