Milton (New South Wales)

Milton is an Australian city in New South Wales, Australia, with around 1,600 inhabitants. It is located in the administrative area ( LGA) of Shoalhaven City, 4 km north of Ulladulla right on the Princes Highway.

The coastal area in Milton - Ulladulla was first discovered by James Cook as he sailed past in 1770 in northern direction and the nearby Pigeon House Mountain described. About 50 years later in 1828 with Thomas Kendall, the first European settlers in this region began to cut down trees on Narrawallee Creek very near Milton. The town of Milton was founded in 1860.
