Minuscule 6

Minuscule 6 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), δ 356 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 235 parchment leaves ( 14.4 x 10.5 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 13th century.

Description

The manuscript was written in one column 29 to 47 lines per page. The letters are designed elegantly and small.

The Code contains with some lacunae (gaps ) in the New Testament, but without the Book of Revelation. The Catholic Epistles are arranged in front of Paul's letters. The manuscript contains a Synaxarion with the liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, κεφαλαια that the Euthalischen Apparatus, στιχοι and ornaments.

Text

The Greek text of the Catholic Epistles and the letters of Paul representative of the Alexandrian text-type with numerous strange readings. Aland placed it in Category III. The text belongs to the family 1739th The remaining books of the New Testament ( Gospels and Acts ) represent the Byzantine text-type, and are close to minuscule minuscule 4 and 75 this part Aland placed in category V a.

History

Minuscule 6 was used by Robert Estienne in his Editio Regia and referenced with ε '. It was examined by Wettstein, Griesbach and Scholz on. In the 27th edition of Novum Testamentum Grace of Nestle -Aland times it is cited only two ( 1 Cor 11:24, 15:6 ).

The Code is kept in the Bibliothèque nationale de France ( Gr. 112) in Paris.
