Minuscule 83

Minuscule 83 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), ε 1218 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 321 parchment leaves ( 21.4 × 16.6 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 11th century. The manuscript is complete.

Description

The manuscript contains the text of the four Gospels. He has written one column each with 20-21 rows. It contains Prolegomena, lists of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια (not τιτλοι ), lectionary markings, αναγνωσεις, Menologion, signatures and στιχοι.

History

In the past, the manuscript was in Augsburg (like Code 84 and 85). She was examined by Johann Albrecht Bengel, Johann Martin Augustin Scholz, John William Burgon and Caspar René Gregory.

The code is located in the Bavarian State Library ( Gr. 518) in Munich.
