Minuscule 84

Minuscule 84 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), ε 1219 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 66 parchment leaves ( 17 × 13.2 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 12th century. The manuscript is not complete.

Description

The manuscript contains the text of the Gospels of Matthew and of Mark with numerous gaps. He has written one column each with 20-21 rows and contains κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonianische sections (not Eusebischer canon ), lectionary markings and incipits.

Text

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Kurt Aland placed it in Category V.

History

In the past, the manuscript was in Augsburg (like Code 83 and 85). She was examined by Johann Albrecht Bengel, Johann Martin Augustin Scholz, John William Burgon, and Caspar René Gregory.

The code is located in the Bavarian State Library ( Gr. 568 ) in Munich.
