Miory or Mjory ( Belarusian: Мёры ) is a city in the Wizebskaja Woblasz in the north of the Republic of Belarus with about 10,900 inhabitants. It is located on the eastern shore of Lake Miory.

The city is the administrative center of the Miory Rajons Miory. It is located about 190 km from Vitebsk and 245 km from the capital, Minsk.

History

The town was first mentioned in writing in 1514. In 1691 the first Catholic church was built in Miory of wood.

1864 took part in the January Uprising Mioryer inhabitants.

Since September 1939 Miory belongs to Belarus.
