Miriam Christine

Miriam Christine ( * June 30 1979 in the Brazilian state of Goiás) is a Maltese pop musician and singing teacher.

Biography

Miriam Christine was born in 1979 as the youngest of 16 children in Brazil, however, adopted at the age of 13 months of Maltese parents, since they lived on the island of Gozo. Six years old, she gained her first stage experience. Her musical career began when she was an award in 1995 for "Best New Artist" at the Malta Music Awards. The following year, she won the title "In A Woman's Heart " (composition: Paul Abela, Text: Alfred C. Sant ), the Maltese Trials for Euro Vision Song Contest. At the international finals she reached the tenth place with 23 participants. Then she published in 1998 her first album " Smile ' n' Shine" with thirteen titles. In addition to her singing career, she worked increasingly as a presenter in the Maltese television. In 2002 she published with ' L- Emigrant " an album of new recordings of songs known maltesischsprachiger, in 2004 followed by" LittleZee " another English album, to which Christine contributed the music itself.

After several years of publication break, she returned in 2008 with the single " Alone Today" in the music scene back in 2009 they again took the Maltese preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest. However, they only reached the 15th place at 20 participants with the ballad " Mama". Lately she has also worked as a singing teacher.
