Mirjam Melchers
Maria Wilhelmina Johanna ' Mirjam ' Melchers, married. Mirjam Melchers -van Poppel ( born September 26, 1975 in Arnhem ) is a former Dutch cyclist, who was active on the road and in cyclo-cross.
Over ten years counted Mirjam Melchers of the strongest street women cyclists of the Netherlands. Five times she was at this time Dutch champion and indeed in the road race as well as the [ [ Off-Road Racing < Cyclocross ] ]. In 2003, she won the title of vice-world champion in the road race, the same year she won the overall title of Emakumeen Bira. Mirjam Melchers is married to the former cyclist Jean -Paul van Poppel, who was also recently head of their team. Since her retirement from cycling she has worked as a personal trainer.
