Místo

The old mountain town Místo ( German ) is situated on the southern slopes of the Bohemian Ore Mountains in the district of Chomutov in the Czech Republic. It has 387 inhabitants and has no more a town.

History

Space is an old mining settlement of rule Hassenstein. The city's history is closely connected with the family of the lords of Lobkowicz on Hassenstein. With the 1459 Mountain privilege granted for the Hassenstein that included all places three miles around, place was the mountain city. However, the iron ore mining in space and Hohentann was not very productive. Place belonged to the Office Hassenstein, the official acts performed in the castle Hassenstein, as long as it was still inhabited. Later it belonged to the rule Hagendorf ( Ahníkov ), which was united in 1773 with Brunnersdorf and 1927 dissolved.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Místo Blahuňov ( Plaßdorf ) Místo (square) and Vysoká Jedle ( Hohentann ), at the same time also form Katastralbezirke.
