Moczyły

Moczyły ( German Schiller village) is a village in north-western Poland. It is located 13 kilometers south-west of Stettin on the Oder. It belongs to the district of Police, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, and is a part of the community Kołbaskowo ( Kolbitzow ).

Church

Until 1945 there was a Protestant church in the village of Schiller. At the parish belonged to the village of Schiller village and the neighboring villages Kolbitzow and Schoningen.

From 1933 to 1939, here Kurt Meschke pastor. He had been dismissed in 1933 in Gdansk as a pastor because his wife was of Jewish origin. Here in the relatively remote village church Pomerania he received on December 1, 1933 new job. Under pressure from the persecution of the Jews, the pastoral couple with children emigrated to Sweden in February 1939.
