Monica Guerritore

Monica Guerritore ( born January 5, 1958 in Rome) is an Italian actress.

Life

Guerritore was born in Rome but grew up in Palmi. Her father, Renato De Carmine left the family early; they had a difficult youth, including an escape from the Swiss boarding school, which she attended. For the first time she appeared as an actress in 1973 in Milan ( Piccolo Teatro di Milano ) in the play Il giardino dei ciliegi ( The Cherry Orchard by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov ) under the direction of Giorgio Strehler on. Also first small film roles fall within that period; her first TV movie aired in 1977, the. onto the fabric by Giacomo Puccini based film Manon Lescaut From 1981, she worked amplified together with Gabriele Lavia.

At their most successful work includes the play Joan of Arc, which she wrote in 2004 and which interprets the life of Joan of Arc as a solo piece.

Film leading roles offered her, inter alia, French production The Antique Hunter ( L' homme pressé ) by Édouard Molinaro, hunger for affection ( Fotografando Patrizia ) by Salvatore Samperi and the U.S. television miniseries Gezinktes game ( The Endless Game) by Bryan Forbes.

Since 2001, she is in a relationship with the politician Roberto Zaccaria. The couple married in 2010 in Versilia.
