Motor Barnaul

Motor Barnaul (Russian Мотор Барнаул ) was a Russian ice hockey club from Barnaul.

History

The club was founded in the tradition of 1954 resulting Spartak Barnaul 1959. In Soviet times, played motor Barnaul in different leagues below the top division. From 1998 to 2006, the team participated in each of the second- highest Russian professional league. First, the club is parallel to the Wysschaja league -wide championship of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation belonged to and played from the 1999/2000 season in the league Wysschaja. Due to financial problems the club was finally dissolved in 2006 and replaced by the club Altai Barnaul, which competes in the third-class Perwaja league.
