Moussy, Val-d'Oise
Moussy is a commune of 145 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Val- d'Oise of the Ile- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Pontoise and Canton Marines. The inhabitants " Moussyacois " or " Moussyacoises " call themselves.
Geography
The community Moussy located 43 kilometers north of Paris. It is located in the Regional Natural Park Vexin français.
Neighboring communities of Moussy are Le Bellay -en- Vexin in the northwest, Chars in the north, Brignancourt in the northeast, Santeuil in the Southeast, Le Perchay in the south and Commeny in the southwest.
History
Findings from the history testify to an early settlement on the territory of Moussy.
The village changed its name several times, as did the respective landlord. It was said Moussy- le- Perreux 1205-1524, then Moussy- le- Bergerot or Moussy- Barjot. In the 18th century it was called Moussy- Duquesnoy, as Pierre -Louis Casimir Duquesnoy was Seigneur de Vaulouis.
