Geography

Geographical location

Mulhouse is located in Ehingen Hegau north of Lake Constance, between the cities of singing and Engen.

Neighboring communities

The municipality is bordered to the north by the cities of Engen and Aach, to the east by Volkertshausen, in the south on the town singing and to the west by Hilzingen.

Community structure

The community of Mulhouse Ehingen consists of previously independent municipalities Mühlhausen and Ehingen Hegau. For the former municipality Ehingen Hegau the village Ehingen Hegau, the homestead Riedmühle and the house include oils. For the former municipality includes the village Mühlhausen Mühlhausen, the courtyards Mägdeberg and Waldhof (formerly brick hut) and the houses station Hohenkrähen, Hohenkräherstraße and sawmill. In the territory of the former municipality of Mulhouse is the Outbound village Enhofen.

History

Both Mühlhausen and Ehingen were first documented in the year 787 in a deed of the monastery of St. Gall. Between 1230 and 1340 a castle on the Mägdeberg by the abbots of the monastery of Reichenau was built. On May 3, 1800 Ehingen was almost completely destroyed by Napoleon Bonaparte. 1805 the inclusion Ehingens in the Grand Duchy of Baden. Five years later came Mulhouse to Baden.

In the course of municipal reform in Baden- Württemberg, the two communities Mühlhausen and Ehingen joined on 1 January 1974 in Hegau together and were able to retain their independence.

Religions

Structures

Nearby Mulhouse, the ruins of the castle Hohenkrähen from the 12th century is on the Hohenkrähen. From the 13th century the ruins Mägdeberg comes on the Mägdeberg.

Traffic

Mulhouse Ehingen is located on the Black Forest Railway from Singen to Offenburg and at the Gäubahn (Stuttgart - Singen). The municipality has the railway station " Mühlhausen ( b Engen ) ". The Seehas train connects Mühlhauen -Ehingen in the half-hour with Engen, Singing, Radolfzell and Konstanz.

The A81 (Stuttgart - Singen) runs over municipal area and is across the driveways Engen ( north ) and singing to achieve (to the south ). In addition, tangent to the L191 ( former B33) Mühlhausen and Ehingen and connects the community to four lanes with singing ( and junction 41), as well as with Engen.

The communal swimming industrial area thus is very conveniently located (distance A81- AS41 approximately 1.5 km).

Education

Mulhouse Ehingen has its own primary and secondary school with Werkrealschule. There is also a municipal kindergarten in Ehingen and a Roman Catholic in Mühlhausen.

Broadband connection
