Muławki

Muławki ( German Muhlack ) is a village in Poland in the Warmia - Mazury. The village is part of the powiat Kętrzyński in the community Ketrzyn ( Rastenburg ). The village forms a mayor's office ( sołectwo ) to which the villages Grabno ( Weitzendorf ) and Wymiary ( George field ) belong.

Geography

Geographical location

Muławki is located in north-eastern Poland, about three kilometers southwest of Kętrzyn. Wymiary is located about one kilometer east, Grabno two kilometers to the west.

History

Today's Muławki was located in 1412 after Kulm law. The village had an area of 44 Wloka. In 1817 there were 38 buildings in the village. In January 1945, the Red Army occupied the area and as a result of the war, the area became part of Poland. In 1970 there was a four-year elementary school, a library and a cinema spot for 40 people.

Traffic

In north- westerly direction through Muławki the province road 591 ( droga wojewódzka 591 ). In the north, it leads after about three kilometers through Kętrzyn and ends after about 30 kilometers of the border with the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast. A border crossing does not exist. To the south, the road opens after about 20 kilometers in Mrągowo in the national road 59 ( droga Krajowa 59).

The village does not have its own rail connection. The nearest railway station is in Kętrzyn. From there, the PKP offers direct connections to Olsztyn and Poznan.

The geographically nearest international airport is Kaliningrad, which is about 100 kilometers northwest, located on Russian territory. The nearest international airport on Polish territory is located about 190 kilometers west of Lech Walesa Airport, Gdansk.
