Muna Island

Muna is an island in Indonesia of the Province of Sulawesi Tenggara. Muna is located southeast of Sulawesi (through the Strait of Tiworo separately ), near of Buton. The majority of the island forms the government district ( kabupaten ) Muna. The southern part belongs to the administrative district of Buton.

The inhabitants of the heavily wooded island living from agriculture and forestry. There are cultivated rice, spices, sago, sugar cane, beside the fishing and processing of coconuts plays a role. The most important harbor is Raha on the north east coast.
