Münden Nature Park

The nature park is located in the district of Göttingen Munden, South Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

Geographical location

Founded by the now defunct county Munden within its borders in 1959, almost 374 km ² and wooded nature park does not take place entirely on the eastern outskirts of Kassel and thus the border with Hesse in northern direction through the northern part of the Kaufunger Forest on Hann. Munden up into the Bramwald and Dransfelder city forest. It lies to the south, east and northeast of the confluence of the Fulda and Werra to the Weser and thrusts in the south and southeast by the natural park Meissner Kaufunger forest. It is crossed by the A 7. At Great Staufenberg is the airfield Staufenberg.

Many trails run through the Nature Park, among which are Mother Hulda path, trail Fulda, Kassel - climbing, fairytale land, students path and Werra Burgensteig.
