Muránska Dlhá Lúka
Muránska Dlhá Lúka (up to 1927 Slovak " Muranska Dlhá Lúka "; German Long Meadow, Hungarian Murányhosszúrét ) is a town in central Slovakia, with 890 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011) and belongs to Okres Revúca kraj a circle of Banskobystrický.
Geography
The municipality is located in the upper valley of the Muráň in the Slovak Ore Mountains in the traditional landscape Gemer. The center is located at an altitude of 345 m nm and is located five kilometers north of Revúca.
History
The place was for the first time in 1357 as Hoszu Reth and the name is derived from the formerly large pastures of Herrschaftsguts of Muráň castle. The residents worked as Köhler, shepherds and were engaged in sawing and hammer mills. In addition to agriculture and forestry today also work in nearby industrial plants.
1828 were recorded 138 houses and 1,184 inhabitants.
