Muránska Zdychava

Muránska Zdychava (up to 1927 Slovak " Muranska Zdychava "; Hungarian Kakasalja - to 1907 Murányzdichava ) is a town in central Slovakia, with 257 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011) and is located in Okres Revúca kraj a circle of Banskobystrický.

Geography

The municipality is located below the main ridge of the Stolické Hills (part of the Slovak Ore Mountains ) located at the Bach Zdychava seven kilometers north of the city Revúca.

History

Muránska Zdychava built on the site of a former village, which was first mentioned in 1427. In the 16th century, is spoken by the present location ( 1551 Zdykawa ), which was created by Wallachian colonization and lay in the territory of the castle Muráň. To date, the single settlement form received.
