Welcome to life ( My So -Called Life = " My so-called life " ) is an American family series from 1994 with a total of 19 episodes. It was sent from the U.S. TV station ABC 25 August 1994 to 26 January 1995. From the series, only 19 episodes were filmed. On 15 May 1995, the series was officially discontinued. The German premiere of the series ran from February 18, 1996 Sundays on RTL2.

Action

The 15 - year-old schoolgirl Angela Chase ( Claire Danes ) is on the way to adulthood. It is changing radically. New ideas, new friends and lots of new experiences emboss, until she finds herself.

Awards

1995 Claire Danes was honored for her role as Angela Chase the Golden Globe for best actress in a TV drama series and was nominated for an Emmy.

• Claire Danes was actually too young for the role of Angela. Due to their outstanding talent, she was still cast. This meant that she was 13 years old during the filming of the pilot, in the last episode 15 By comparison, Jared Leto was in the last episode 22
• Welcome to life was the template for the German series My Life and Me on RTL.
• On 13 September 2007 the complete series was released after 12 years in a 5 Series DVD box set of euro video.
