Mystic Prophecy

Mystic Prophecy is a German power metal band.

History

The band was formed by frontman and singer Roberto D. Liapakis ( Valley's Eve ) together with Martin Albrecht ( Valley's Eve, Stormwitch, Rough ). Shortly thereafter ( Firewind) and drummer Dennis Ekdahl and guitarist Gus G. were added. After Gus G. and Dennis Ekdahl left the band, were added three new members. The guitarist Martin Grimm and Markus Pohl ( Symphorce ) and drummer Mathias Straub ( Sacred Steel ) were then heard for the first time on the new album Savage Souls.

In autumn 2007, drummer Mathias Straub left the band and was replaced by Stefan Dittrich. In July 2008, the band announced on their website that Martin Grimm and Martin Albrecht play their last concert with Mystic Prophecy in October and then the band will leave. In September 2008, the band announced on its website that one has with Constantine from the thrash / death metal band Descending found a new guitarist. Also in 2008, newly encountered is bassist Connie Andreszka ( Evidence One ).

In the time elapsed since the sixth studio album the band appeared: Fire Angel was included in the Prophecy Studios in Kempten and directed by Fredrik Nordström ( Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, In Flames ), and RD Liapakis ( Firewind, Eldritch ) completed in Sweden. In June 2009, the album entered the German charts. In the meantime, there was another change in the cast: Drummer Dittrich left Mystic Prophecy and replacement has now been found for a tour with Stratovarius beginning of 2010 in the person of Matt C.. As a new, permanent band member was presented in May 2010 Claudio Sisto, with which the work has been started for the seventh album.

Style

Mystic Prophecy play Power Metal American style. In some songs there are also elements of classic heavy and thrash metal. On her third album Never Ending Never Surrender came up with for the first time added a metal ballad.
