Nagqu Prefecture

Nagqu (Tib.: nag chu, Tibetan: ནག་ཆུ, Nagchu ) ( Meaning: " Black River ") is an administrative district of the Tibet Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 450,537 km ² and around 363,000 inhabitants ( 2001).
