Naomi Foner Gyllenhaal

Naomi Foner Gyllenhaal ( born March 15, 1946 in New York City as Naomi axis ) is an American screenwriter and film producer, as well as mother of Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Life

Naomi axis was the daughter of Samuel axis and Dr. Ruth Silbowitz into a Jewish family. After 1966, she received her bachelor's degree in English at Barnard College, she studied developmental psychology at Columbia University. After she was married to the historian Eric Foner, the marriage did to director Stephen Gyllenhaal, with whom she has two children by the two actors Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal, from 1977 until 2009. After 1968, the media campaign during the presidential campaign of Democrat Eugene McCarthy headed, she was given the opportunity in the popular children's television show Sesame street in the production collaborate, before she started later as a scriptwriter for the PBS show Visions.

After 1986 Love is just an illusion produced her first screenplay was published, it was the subsequent film drama Running on Empty, which was directed by Sidney Lumet, with whom she took care of a stir. It was in 1989 awarded a Golden Globe Award for Best Screenplay in 1989 and received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
