Nathan DiCasmirro ( born September 27, 1978 in Atikokan, Ontario ) is an Italian- American- Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since the summer of 2013 in the Sheffield Steelers in the British Elite Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Club

Born in the Canadian province of Ontario Nate DiCasmirro grew up in Burnsville to the U.S. state of Minnesota and initially possessed dual citizenship of Canada and the United States. He began his career as a professional hockey player in 1995 at the North Iowa Huskies of the United States Hockey League, for which DiCasmirro played three seasons. In the summer of 1998 he decided to visit a university and signed a contract for four years at St. Cloud State University from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Last year at the university, he came towards the end of the season to a bet with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. Before the season 2002/ 03 he moved permanently to the Hamilton Bulldogs and played with the team the entire AHL championship. After a year he moved on to league rivals Toronto Roadrunners, where he managed in 71 games on 35 points scorer. In the summer of 2004 Nate DiCasmirro moved to the Edmonton Road Runners before 2005 a one-year contract signed with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
