Nate DiCasmirro

Nathan DiCasmirro ( born September 27, 1978 in Atikokan, Ontario ) is an Italian- American- Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since the summer of 2013 in the Sheffield Steelers in the British Elite Ice Hockey League contract.
Career
Club
Born in the Canadian province of Ontario Nate DiCasmirro grew up in Burnsville to the U.S. state of Minnesota and initially possessed dual citizenship of Canada and the United States. He began his career as a professional hockey player in 1995 at the North Iowa Huskies of the United States Hockey League, for which DiCasmirro played three seasons. In the summer of 1998 he decided to visit a university and signed a contract for four years at St. Cloud State University from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Last year at the university, he came towards the end of the season to a bet with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. Before the season 2002/ 03 he moved permanently to the Hamilton Bulldogs and played with the team the entire AHL championship. After a year he moved on to league rivals Toronto Roadrunners, where he managed in 71 games on 35 points scorer. In the summer of 2004 Nate DiCasmirro moved to the Edmonton Road Runners before 2005 a one-year contract signed with the Grand Rapids Griffins. From 2006 to 2008, the Italo - Canadians stormed mainly for the Providence Bruins. Towards the middle of the second season with the Providence Bruins DiCasmirro changed again for 23 games to the San Antonio Rampage and for 20 games with the Syracuse Crunch. In the summer of 2008, his European adventure began. He signed before the 2008/ 09 season, a contract with HC Bolzano in the Italian Serie A1, where he but after 23 games had to vacate his seat. The remaining part of the season ( 10 games) he rushed for Timrå IK of the Swedish Elitserien. The following summer, his Swedish club Örebro HK took from the Allsvenskan under contract. Towards the middle of the season he left the team again and found the EC VSV his new employer. In the summer of 2010, the right wing moved again to Italy. This time, he signed a contract with HC Val Pusteria, which, like the HC Bolzano denies equal to the championship of the Italian Serie A1. Early May 2011 it was announced that his contract with HC Val Pusteria is extended for one year. After two seasons in Val Pusteria followed in the summer of 2012, the change to league rivals HC Valpellice. He remained there only a year and then moved to the UK at the Sheffield Steelers in the Elite Ice Hockey League.
Internationally
In the Olympic qualification for the Games in Sochi, which took place in Bietigheim -Bissingen in February 2013, DiCasmirro made his debut in the Italian national ice hockey team. Although missed Italy and third in the group to qualify for the 2014 Winter Games, but by his goal in extra time DiCasmirro decided the game against Germany for the Italians, which led to the result that instead of the German, Austrian team secured the Olympic ticket. Later in the year DiCasmirro succeeded with the Italian team by a second behind Kazakhstan in Group A of Division I at the Ice Hockey World Championship in 2013, the rise in top division of the World Cup.
