National Television Company of Ukraine

Natsionalna Telekompanija Ukrainy (Ukrainian: Національна Телекомпанія України ) is the national television station of the Ukraine. It was founded on 20 January 1965. It maintains the only national television Perschyj Natsionalnyj (First National ).

On the evening of March 18, 2014, a group of MPs and supporters of the party penetrated All-Ukrainian Association " Swoboda " led by Ihor Miroschnytschenko (he is vice chairman of the " Ukrainian Committee for Freedom of Expression " ) in the Kiev office of the Chief of the television station, Olexandr Pantelejmonow, and forced him with blows, to sign a notice of termination. They accused him that he was unfit, because he supported Russian propaganda. The station had shown excerpts from a performance of Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which the latter the result of a controversial referendum for a port of the Republic of Crimea to Russia welcomed (see Krimkrise ).
