NBCUniversal

NBCUniversal, LLC (to end 2010 NBC Universal, Inc. ) is a 2004 founded American media company with headquarters in New York City. The company was formed from the merger of the National Broadcasting Company ( NBC) and the entertainment division of Vivendi without the Universal Music Group. NBCUniversal is according to Time Warner and Viacom and before the Walt Disney Company, the third largest media companies in the world. In 2009 the company generated a turnover of 15.436 billion U.S. dollars and a net profit of 2.264 billion U.S. dollars and employs more than 16,000 employees.

Early December 2009, took over the American cable operator Comcast for $ 6.5 billion accounted for 51 percent of NBCUniversal; 49 percent remained with General Electric. With the entry of Comcast with NBC Universal, it came at the beginning of 2011 at NBCUniversal to numerous changes.
