Neftjanik Almetyevsk (Russian Нефтяник Альметьевск ) is an ice hockey club established in 1965 the Russian city of Almetyevsk. The team plays in the second-rate Wysschaja Hockey League.

History

The club was founded in 1965 as Sputnik Almetyevsk. By 1980 the team was renamed Neftjanik Almetyevsk 1986 played in the Soviet unterklassigen leagues. In the 1991/92 season promotion to the second-class Wysschaja league in which the team twice in 1994 and in 2000 won the title. Both times they gave up the climb. By 2010, they continued to play in the league Wysschaja before she was admitted to the succession League Wysschaja Hockey League in 2010.

Neftjanik Almetyevsk acts as a farm team of the KHL participant Ak Bars Kazan.
