Neutral Milk Hotel

Neutral Milk Hotel is an American indie rock band. The group led by singer and songwriter Jeff Mangum published in the 1990s two albums and two EPs. Mangum himself described the band's style once as fuzz -folk. Your music has influenced a number of bands like Arcade Fire and The Decemberists.

History

The group evolved from the musicians collective Elephant Six. Their first album, On Avery Iceland, published Neutral Milk Hotel 1996 Merge Records.

Larger notoriety received by the band In the Aeroplane Over the Sea (1998 ), which was hailed by the critics and is often regarded as a classic of indie rock. After the album has sold consistently well and was at times hard to come by, it was re-released in 2005 by Domino Records.

After you publish the album to a year to their self Jeff Mangum withdrew from public life. Most members of Neutral Milk Hotel, who have never officially disbanded, worked on other projects together on. Since 2010, Mangum has few solo performances, in which he also repeatedly played songs of the band.

In April 2013 Neutral Milk Hotel gave their reunion known for a fall tour in the same year.
