The Nijmegen Devils are a Dutch hockey club from Nijmegen, the 1968 S.IJ. Nijmegen founded. The first team of the club plays since 2011 in the second highest class in the country, the Eerste Divisie.

History

The Ice Hockey Club was founded in 1968 under the name S.IJ. Nijmegen founded after the city of Nijmegen had built the IJsstadium Heyendaal. In 1971 the club took part in the top division.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Nijmegen Tigers took part in the sweeps of the IIHF Continental Cup in seasons 1997, 1998, 2000/ 01 and 2001/ 02. The team was eliminated in the second qualifying round for all four participants.

In the 2009/10 season the team for a total of nine times won the Dutch league title.
