Nikita Alexeev
Nikita Sergeyevich Alexeev (Russian: Никита Сергеевич Алексеев; * December 27, 1981 in Murmansk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player, who was last at Severstal Cherepovets in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.
Career
Nikita Alexeyev started his career as a hockey player with the Erie Otters, for which he was active from 1998 to 2001 in the Ontario Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 in the first round as a whole eighth player from the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he made his debut in the National Hockey League in the 2001/ 02 season. In the following season was the aggressor for both Tampa Bay, as well as for their farm team, the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, on the ice. A large part of the season 2003/ 04 the Russians missed due to a shoulder injury, while he bridged the lockout in the following year at the Springfield Falcons.
After one season at HK Avangard Omsk in his native Russia, Alexeyev returned in 2006 to the Tampa Bay Lightning back, for which he scored a total of twelve points scorer in 63 games before he, just before the end of the Trade Deadline to their league rivals, the Chicago Blackhawks have been made. Prior to the 2007/ 08 season the links Sagittarius received as a free agent a contract with Ak Bars Kazan, with whom he won the 2008 IIHF Continental Cup, and in the 2008/ 09 season for the first time in his career, the Gagarin Cup. In the 2009/10 season he was again able to win with Ak Bars Kazan the Gagarin Cup.
In January 2012, he left Ak Bars, after he had completed previously due to a shoulder injury in the season 2011/12, not a game. He was then to end of season of Severstal Cherepovets committed. In October 2012, he was first taken from HK Spartak Moscow under contract, but not a completed game for the club. In November of the same year he returned to Severstal and scored in 32 games of the season six points scorer for Severstal.
